travels | venice italy

buongiorno!

if you’ve been following the blog…this is a continuous entry to our trip to europe last year.

our third stop on our european tour was venice!

we took the night train from paris to venice. we had wanted to book a 2 person compartment but it was all booked so we decided on the 4 person(s) but when my friend called to in to change the reservation, they said the only available seats were 6 person(s) compartment. all went well but you definitely need lock your compartment door since there are lots of stops along the way and random people try to open the door. =/

we stayed at hotel olimpia and upon check-in, they gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco. =)

venice is so beautiful! so glad we were able to make a quick stop in this city. walking around venice with a map did not help at all…we kept getting lost! there are so many alley ways and turns but no street signs. we followed a lot of graffitied signs…which we were a little skeptical about but everyone was doing it so we did too and they were legit. wish we had more time to explore the city but we had an awesome little adventure.

arriving at the train station and coming out to this…pretty!a gondolier with his gondolathe pigeons at st marks squarepasta everywhere!tiny alley ways!

note: photos were taken with a leica. =)
