sami & matt’s intimate wedding reception was beautiful and the terranea resort was the perfect backdrop. here’s a little snippet from the bride, sami, of their special day:
“For years (literally like 2 years), Matt and I had been planning a wedding in Napa. 6 months before the wedding date, we decided to cancel the wedding. The more we thought about it, the more we realized a wedding was not “us”. The stress of the planning, the anxiety that comes with being the center of attention – none of it made sense to us. The way everything has happened in our lives has been pretty unconventional, so why should we feel pressured to have a wedding because it is what people do? We wouldn’t be. Instead, on the date of our cancelled wedding, we got our closest friends and family together for an intimate evening just to celebrate love and each other’s company, for this we got great music, food and decoration as the best chairs covers so everything looked perfect. I was overwhelmed by all of the positivity and support we were given for making this decision. Thank you to our beautiful friends and family for your love and being you. To those who didn’t make it, we felt your love from afar.”
