tram + henry | bridal session | mission san juan capistrano

Tram and I met over coffee at peet’s coffee & tea a few months ago to discuss her bridal/engagement session. Since they will be having a destination wedding in Canada [where her fiancĂ©, henry, is from] and having just moved to CA, Tram had no idea where to start for locations for our session. I suggested a few places and we both decided on the mission & crystal cove state park.

a couple days before the session, the weather wasn’t cooperating but it all worked out the day of. We started the session over at the beautiful mission in san juan capistrano. Afterwards, we headed over to crystal cove state park.

janis + an | wedding | paris france | domaine de la butte ronde

janis & an‘s wedding was one of the best weddings i’ve ever been to. the location [paris, france!], the couple, everything, was just perfect. i don’t think i’ve ever had as much fun as i did at their wedding. the dancing, dj & mc by music phreek, didn’t stop until 5am. the wedding festivities was a three day event. the first day, janis and an had a traditional tea ceremony at janis’ aunts house and we headed over to an’s parents house afterwards for a luncheon. the venue for the western ceremony & reception was held at the amazing domaine de la butte ronde” title=”domaine de la butte ronde” target=”_blank”>domaine de la butte ronde in la boissiere-ecole, france [countryside of paris]. the domaine has over 100 acres of gorgeous fields, meadows, ponds, etc. they also have a lot of fun activities there and all the guests from the wedding enjoyed them the day after the wedding.

here are some of my favorites from janis & an‘s wedding…

day one | traditional vietnamese tea ceremony

day two | ceremony and reception

day three | fun day!

venue | domaine de la butte ronde
wedding dress | j.crew
bridesmaids | custom made in vietnam | designed by the bride, janis
florals | designed by the groom, an
dj | music phreek
photographer | mimi nguyen

tricia | model | 40’s era styled shoot

Fashion has been a big part of my life…even though I may have been on the “Top 10 Worst Dressed” list back in my adolescent days. (I blame it on my lovely mom. She bought me a pair of tie-dyed overalls, but having no fashion sense in elementary school, I wore it proudly. =P) These days, a t-shirt & a pair of jeans will do.

My friend/model, Tricia and I got together and collaborated with the lovely and awesome makeup artist & hairstylist, lulu nguyen, on an idea I had for an updated 40’s era look. I think it turned out super duper awesome!
