My family & friends know that no matter where I go, I always carry a camera.

I believe that there is a story to capture in every moment...whether it is in an expression, an intimate look between a couple, a shared laugh among friends or a twinkle in the eye. Some of the most memorable photographs are the ones that are most natural, which leads to my photojournalistic approach when it comes to weddings & sessions. I love watching the day unfold. Anais Nin once said, "We write to taste life twice, in the moment, and in retrospection." If only she knew that photography would allow for the same.

I am also greatly influenced by fashion photography, so a lot of this inspiration shows in my work. My background in arts & design also contributes in large part to my style and aesthetics.

My aim is to give clients a sense of who they are & what makes their relationships extraordinary, all while having a fun time doing it! Perhaps they will see me through the photographs as well: a bit of spunk, boldness, chic + fun! At the very least, clients will be able to laugh at my awesome jokes! =)

Life moves at an incredibly fast pace, so I feel incredibly lucky to be able to freeze little moments in time. I feel very blessed to do what I love & love what I do, and I hope my passion and skills for photography and design show in my work!

couples styled shoot | shop ninety + wheel works | garden grove

anh from shop ninety and i have been friends since high school. we got together, along with, angie from angie hair and makeup, to style a grungy and sexy couples session. my good friends, anne & tim, were our fantastic models and did an awesome job! i talked to anne about doing a concept shoot together a couple months back and i thought of doing it at an auto shop, where it’s grungy and gritty. we found the perfect spot at wheel works. they primarily work on motorcycles, harley davidsons, and they were able to supply a bike too! if you ever need any tires or anything done on your bike, definitely come by wheel works and talk to gary or adam. they rock!

anh did an amazing job styling the shoot. if you’re in the orange county area, come by their boutique in garden grove…lots of cute clothes/dresses and accessories and check out shop ninety’s facebook for deals! angie also did an exceptional job…anne looked flawless! check out the behind the scenes and my favorites from this session below.

mothers of reinvention event + fundraiser | beverly hills

last tuesday, specific media hired me for a book release event for “the mothers of reinvention” and fundraiser for the step-up women’s network foundation in beverly hills. the authors of the book, jennifer pate and barbara machen are hosts of “jen and barb, mom life,” an award-winning web series with more than 90 webisodes.

from the press release: in the mothers of reinvention: reclaim your identity, unleash your potential, love your life (vanguard press/perseus books group; january 2012; $15.99), jen and barb provide a radical rethinking of what it means to be a woman and a mother in today’s world. a real game-changer that defines new territory for mothers, the mothers of reinvention shares jen and barb’s discovery of a way to reclaim their identity while still maintaining their joy as mothers and wives.

at the event, celebrity chef lulu powers created the food and drink menu. celebrity co-hosts were glee’s jessalyn gilsig and ncis/brothers & sisters’ sarah jane morris. other women celebrities attending were felicity huffman (desperate housewives), jeanne tripplehorn (big love, grey gardens), garcelle beauvais (franklin & bash, models, inc, the groundlings), jennifer freeman (my wife and kids) and sally horchow (author).

catherine + jackson | engagement | wrightwood

update | catherine + jackson’s engagement is featured on the lovely ever-ours!

catherine & jackson have been together for over 10 years and recently got engaged during her birthday week. jackson got photos from the past years and put together a sweet and thoughtful album to surprise her as a “birthday” gift…on the last page of the album, he asked her to marry him.

catherine knew she wanted to do their engagement session in the snow. this year in socal, we really didn’t have a winter…which means no snow. fortunately, a few days before our shoot together, it snowed! we headed out to wrightwood, near mountain high, and found the perfect setting for the session.

monica + bernardo | wedding | green river golf course | the veranda | corona

monica & bernardo’s 10 year vow renewal was beautiful to be a part of! the outdoor ceremony took place in the garden at the green river golf course. the reception was up the steps at the veranada. monica & bernardo’s kids are adorable! doesn’t ayden look just like a mini version of bernardo?? here are some of my faves…
