thy + jimmy | wedding | historic old towne orange + royal restaurant

thy & jimmy’s wedding was such a fun celebration, especially since it was on 4th of july. thy & jimmy had a traditional vietnamese tea ceremony in the morning before the church ceremony to introduce each other families & welcome each other. during the tea ceremony, jimmy’s family presents thy’s family with gifts that were brought in by his family members & thy & jimmy also pray to the ancestors. afterwards, there is a luncheon for both families until they head to the ceremony at la purisima church.

the beautiful reception was held at the royal restaurant in westminster. jimmy has mc’d a few weddings for friends and family and hosted a game during the reception and also presented his new bride a surprise special rendition of “because of you” by ne-yo that lead into their first dance. the celebration continued with an after party at a nearby dance club. it was truly a night to remember. here are my favorite images from thy & jimmy’s beautiful wedding!

Phuong Can you get me in touch with the maker of the ao dai? I know it’s the bride’s friend’s mom, but I want to get in touch with her to see if she can make me one too!

Mimi Hi Thao! The ao dai was custom-made by her mom’s friend and unfortunately wasn’t given anymore information or details.
